Hot!! Wah pleasure..

I've always wondered why on earth people invented the hotpot. Why anyone wants to sear their mouth with boiling hot food, but then again maybe its the adrenaline rush you got adds to the pleasure of eating just like enjoying extreme sports. After a while you'll just become addicted to the pain and keep coming back for more. That is why I went all the way to Penang for my yearly fix of the hotpot and my favorite spot is Seoul Garden Korean BBQ. Its situated at Gurney Plaza and its a popular spot. other than your usual boiling hot soup pot here you get an extra feature in form of a searing hot frying plate. There is also a large array of seafood, meat (halal of course) and veggies to boil and burn. In the end of the day after 2 whole hours of mouth-searing experiance its well said that the trip is worth every drop of pain-induced tears shed.

Breakfast megahit

What is better to start your day than a good breakfast. Even better is having it at your favorite joint and our absolute favorite is undoubly Mak Cik Ton's. Where is Mak Cik Ton you asked? Well, if you're in Batu Gajah, Perak just ask for the direction of the golf course. MCT is situated just opposite the course and please be early, MCT will close shop at 12p.m. Yes, it is a breakfast-only joint and by 10a.m you'll be lucky even to get a seat. What's so special here? Well to me it's always the roti canai banjir with a small tuff of sambal tumis on top. There are other items as well. Mee rebus, mee sup just to mention a few.

In search of the elusive Bronok

Haven't heard of bronok? Well, don't worry neither do we back then. It was only when words gets to us about this rather odd sea-dweller being a seasonal favorite in Langkawi Island that our quest for it begin. Well, after an extensive asking around the island did we finally tracked down the bronok. At first sight we were rather underwhelmed by the 'low-profile' appearence of this sea creature. well let us just say it tasted like cartilage an is prepared in a kerabu. This is to us a trully accquired taste indeed. were told that it was a relative of the sea urchin
